Accessibility Statement

Beyond IQ is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience and apply relevant accessibility standards to make our assessment platform available to everyone.

Accessibility Standards

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. Our assessment platform includes the following accessibility features:

  • Keyboard Navigation: Full keyboard support throughout the assessment, including tab navigation and keyboard shortcuts where appropriate.
  • Screen Reader Support: Screen reader announcement of timers, scores, progress indicators, and assessment status.
  • Skip Navigation: Skip to main content links at the beginning of each page to bypass repetitive navigation.
  • ARIA Landmarks: Semantic HTML markup with ARIA landmarks (main, navigation, contentinfo) for proper document structure.
  • Semantic Markup: Meaningful heading hierarchy, form labels, and semantic HTML elements throughout.

Known Limitations

3D Cognitive Map Visualization

The 3D Cognitive Map visualization requires WebGL support and is not fully accessible to screen readers. A text-based data table fallback is provided for assistive technology users to access the underlying data.

Processing Speed Subtests

Some Processing Speed subtests are inherently visual in nature (symbol matching, pattern completion) and may not be suitable for users with visual impairments. We are actively exploring alternative assessment modalities to provide equitable testing options.

Color Contrast

Color is used as a secondary indicator alongside text labels throughout the interface. We are working toward full WCAG AA color contrast compliance across all components.
